* Making it clear how to progress at memory alpha
* Evaluating the types of items that can be upgraded at each level to ensure it is relevant to progression
* Allowing players to see possible upgrade recipes at any time (but you still need to be at Memory Alpha to perform the upgrade)
* Restructuring the various upgrade trees and make all recipes visible even if you can't make them so that you can see what items you need to make in order to get to the bottom of each tree.
* Providing a progress UI so that you see your progress in each upgrade rank
* Providing stores nearby that sell base level items
* Allowing players to upgrade bound base level items
Goal:
* You collect scientific data (anomalies) of a specific type
* You use collected data to upgrade items
* The more items you upgrade the more types of upgrade options you have
* Once you've succeeded at learning how to upgrade all basic items you unlock 3 different types of upgrade paths that you can then work your way down.
* As you progress, the upgrades require higher level anomaly data.
