Tribble Server Patch Notes: 9th January 2015

I hope everyone has recovered well from the NYE events and are excited about the new content that the DEV Team at STO have done recently which have been mention just last week.

I'm very excited to see what they have in store for us with these New Systems that they have introduced onto the Tribble Server just recently.

• Bridge Officer Training Revamp
• New Research and Development School: Officer Training
• Changes to the Romulan Mystery Arc
• Changes to the Secondary Deflector
• New Bridge Officer Icons

We touched on this during the livestream at weekend. Finally science is getting the secondary deflectors as for the best who knows what it will bring. I mean the Intel specialisation alone has had major impacts. Adding a new one in so soon is unexpected.

Ah...... I only got to hear about the last 5 minutes of the broadcast that weekend. So my apologies on not catching up on what i had missed. At least now there is a visual of the changes that the Dev Team had mentioned about, plus a clearer outline of what changes.

I do agree on the secondary deflector changes that they have made, it gives the science toon and ships a greater understanding of what each of the three kinds of secondary deflectors types once equipped to the applicable science ships that holds them.

Plus the changes to the icon does improve the look of the game with all of the recent updates and changes to the game itself. (R&D, Specialization, Tier 6 Ships, etc)

Just to bring awareness but the Tribble Character Transfer System is currently not working, judging by the amount of people whom have posted on the STO Forums lately.

At this moment of time, transfer from holodeck to tribble isn't available at this moment. I will keep an eye on this for the next couple of days to inform when people are able to commence transfers.

Earlier today or yesterday depending on time zone differences, the STO Dev Team Systems Designer Jeremy Randall aka "BorticusCryptic" placed a blog posting regarding the Captain Specialization.

In the blog post, Jeremy Randall outlines the abilities that are involved with the new system that is being placed on Tribble Server as we speak which involves improving both Ground and Space combat (Tactical) and survivability (Science and Engineering).

I'm most excited about the remastered Romulan episodes. I can't wait! I really enjoyed when they did that with the Doomsday Weapon & the Borg episodes. It will help level up my next ship. Of course, I'm still only at level 57 and around the 5th new episode in.... Don't judge! :laugh:

It seems that STO Dev Team have either corrected the issue for character copying from Holodeck to Tribble or it has corrected itself.

You can now commence transferring of characters as of now. If you are experiencing problems with transferring of toons, please make a note of this on the STO Forums in the Tribble Test Server Forums.
