How do I count the ways? Animation and art? Phenomenal. Stories? Fantastic--and no railroading, you can pick up several missions in a short stretch and fulfill them in whatever order you want. The choices you make in dialogue--and your toon *talks*!--have a long-term affect on your character's path. My two free toons are a Jedi knight and a smuggler, and I feel like I'm playing two entirely different games, whereas the basic actions of classes in STO all more or less feel the same.

The limitations of a free account are bizarre and annoying. But given that the only reasons I've been paying for STO are continued access to the fifteen toons I've created (yet after three years I only have five at level 50 because I don't like the end-game content and so put off leveling characters) and the equivalent of a $5-a-month stipend in game currency that I and a great number of players haven't received in four months because of inaction on the business end of things, I am seriously considering switching my payment over to SW:TOR. I'd actually be getting something for my money.

**maniacal laughter** Boredom leads to Experimentation. Experimentation leads to Sadness. Sadness leads to Understanding. Understanding leads to Happiness. Happiness leads SWTOR.

I guess I put this in the wrong forum  so feel free to move the thread as warranted.

The levelling experience is the best in any MMO bar none. When you level up multiple toons though it does get repetative but that is why spacebar is there :D

Unfortunately SWTOR kinda fell over a bit on its endgame though from what i have seen it has done alot to fix that with more raids and the expansion pack etc. So alas the only real drawback to the game is the god awful F2P model otherwise it would be a stunningly brilliant MMO all round.

I am so glad you are enjoying the game, SiranNataan. I know the F2P business model is a nightmare (although EA claims it has worked very well for them) but I believe that is intentional as they would like you to subscribe so they make F2P as horrible as possible with idiotic restrictions.

Any game where you can create more than one character is going to be repetitive for the characters that follow the first one because that's the only way they can have enough for anyone to do at any particular time. It also makes it easier to complete some of the more difficult missions because you know ahead of time what's going to happen and can be ready for it. In SWTOR you have several choices in responses to make so unless you pick the same answer for all your toons, you can try out many different angles for each mission. But as was stated, spacebar is there to speed your way through the answering process but I like listening to how each toon responds so don't often use the spacebar. :)

They are adding new operations as well as harder versions of the already existing operations so there is a lot of endgame to progress through. You have to be at level cap to participate in these operations though so there is an incentive to level your toons if you want to participate. We are working on forming a group that will be able to start doing these operations but it will take awhile to get everyone ready. It's fun working on that though, especially on double xp weekends, I have been able to gain anywhere from 3-5 levels a day when I am able to play on the weekend. Slower going during the week though and it's sure hard to go back to regular xp on Monday. :(

I felt that way at first, too. Then I started levelling another toon on the opposite faction, a Soldier instead of a Sith, and the gameplay just felt the same. Yes his story was different, but the rest of it was so similar to what I had just done. So I tried a few other classes and the feeling just didn't go away for my friend and I. There are some people who never experience that, and perhaps you're one of them, but I wouldn't say that the game is better than STO; just different, but in all of the same ways.

I felt the same way. Even the stories within the same class just all felt the same. And the space combat in TOR is just completely superficial. After haven't having touched the game in probably 9 months, I finally dropped the sub on it.

But I mostly play games for the story, so I imagine this won't bother me as much. :)
