2x 8k Refinements per Day

I generally log into STO once in the morning to do my daily stuff and then once in the evening to check on Doff assignments. I've started to notice something odd. Every morning when I first log in, I'm able to refine my daily 8k dilithium, but when I log in later in the evening I can refine another 8k!

At first, I thought I was just seeing stuff and forgetting to refine in the morning so I started to play close attention. I was able to do it for almost a week straight. My dilithium reserves have gone up considerably in that amount of time.

Has anyone else noticed this happening? My only idea is that Cryptic is trying to increase the amount of raw Dilithium in STO and this is their silent means of doing it. Thoughts?

Looks like I need to start paying closer attention to my dilithium stores.

Instead of everyone having their own independent timer - the server globally resets the clock somewhere around 5-6p EDT every day. For everyone.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

I don't think that's right. When F2P first launched, they were very short on the details about how it work, except for that it was "once a day".

Nick, the 8k refinement resets at 12am Gmt. So it's likely that in your timezone your morning starts off pre GMT and your evening, after. Which explains your 2 refinements in a day, however, I'm sure you will find if you do an 8k evening refinement, you won't be able to do one in the morning.

There's still only one 12 AM GMT per Day though, so only one reset. :P

That reset would happen when I'm asleep generally anyhow, not mid day.

In which case, very odd, enjoy it while it lasts!

Logged into my Reman yesterday. Refined my 8k dilithium, checked on my Doffs, and then refined another 8k dilithium! The 50k from the Mirror Event is going quick doing it this way. :P

Hey Nick. If you have a gold or lifetime account and you forget to refine the dilithium from the previous day it auto does it on the toon when you log in and you still need to do it for that day yourself hence the appearance it looks like two refinements in a day...

You get up to a weeks worth auto refined if u didn't log in for a week on that toon.
