Is that the cool Alienware console computer thingy? I was looking at one of those when I bought my Area 51.

This is my baby. I named him Max.  I want to get a Borg skin to give the pc a complimentary Borg Cube feel. :)

Processor: Intel Core I7 4770k 3.50 Ghz (OC to 4.4Ghz)
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-Expert
Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz Digital Storm Performance Series
Power Supply: Corsair HX-1050 (1050W)
Optical Drive: ASUS Blu-Ray Play/DVD Write
Storage 1: 120GB Solid State (SATA)
Storage 2: 1TB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB (w/ PhysX)
Sound Card: Creative Labs Recon3D Fatality Champion 5.1
Cooling: 120mm Radiator Liquid CPU Cooler (Self Sustained)
+Sound Dampening
Windows 7 Home 64bit

UPDATE 10/3/16: MOBO died earlier this year (2016) so now I am running a GIGABYTE GA-H97-D3H. Also, updated (not upgraded cause the jury is still out on this one) to Windows 10 from the free update offered.

PC seems to run a bit slower. I think it needs to be re-tuned for performance settings, but overall it still handles all applications well. I did expect to encounter slightly longer load times with the new mobo, but I noticed some drop in performance while gaming too.

Lastly, without the sound dampening that the ASUS mobo had this pc runs a bit louder now, but still well within tolerable levels.

Rasilek, great desktop background image. Seems familiar. Interstellar? Jupiter Ascending? Just my imagination?

Thanks! Yeah that's Gargantua, the black hole from Interstellar. Googled and found a high resolution image of it to span my desktop. Was not disappointed. :) And I do love the film.

It's a bit messy right now, but here's my "geek room" as my partner likes to call it. It's on the 3rd floor on the house, so I needed to buy a mobile A/C for those humid Baltimore summers.

This is my humble gaming set up. I only really get to play when the kids aren't here or are asleep though seeing as it uses the TV.

BTW: I'm known as the great thread necromancer.

Just thought I'd bump this. I realized I've yet to post my gaming pad so give me a day to clean it up before I post. But in the meantime, lets see what you've got if you haven't posted already?

Fairly utilitarian, but it works for me. The NCC-1701 is an acrylic multi-color LED lamp, and the little TARDIS is a USB hub. The desktop wallpaper is the Fourth Doctor's console room (note the coat rack with absurdly long scarf) in the TARDIS.

The PC is a couple years old and needs a RAM and graphics upgrade, but as it is now:

Processor Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Processor Information: Intel64 Family 6 Model 60 Stepping 3
Number of Physical Cores: 4
Number of Logical Cores: 4
Installed System Memory: 16 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Graphics Information: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580
System Product: Z87 EXTREME4
System BIOS: P3.00
HDD1: Intel SSDSC2BP240G4
HDD2: Western Digital WD10EZEX-00BN5A0
HDD3: Western Digital WD10EZEX-00BN5A0
Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 5
Monitor: 39" LCD TV
Speakers: Bose Companion 2 Series III
