Amazing speech. Never before has an presidential administration been so supportive of the glbt community.

If you're not familiar with the Universal Declartion of Human Rights, give this a watch:

I appreciate how Hillary acknowledged that the US is certainly not the bastion of gay rights itself.

I think my opinion of the U.S Administration shot up about tenfold!

You guys still need nation-wide civil unions / marriage though, but give it a bit more time, it'll happen. :)

A nice start, it vastly increases my opinion of both Hillary and Obama.

Hah, I was just on my way over here to post a link to this. Such an amazing speech, and equally amazing woman.

She wasn't always like this. BUT I'll take the new one over the old one.

Deciding to remain with your cheating spouse will make you a bit bitchy too.

Ya a cheating spouse will give one alot of "baggage" to carry around. Been there had that done to me. (not Doogiegood)

I was thinking more along the lines of The Clintons evolving opinion on GLBT issues. Her and Bill weren't the nicest people to us all that long ago.

I do have to admit to some disappointment over Hillary's reaction to Bill's cheating. I had a comfy chair and popcorn all ready to go for what I figured would be the show of the century. Bill on the white house lawn begging Hillary to "please forgive him". And Hillary tossing Bill's stuff out on the lawn while yelling at Bill about his idiocy of cheating with the one girl in DC that didn't know how to get a stain out of a dress.

In case anyone doesnt know, that wasnt the first time he was caught, he was known for having a roaming eye.

It's true that they've been more supportive in the last few years, especially Hillary. But, they've never been against us. Even when Bill was governor of Arkansas, it never seemed like they were "against" the GLBT community.

Yes, I know he signed DOMA. But there were a lot of factors in that as well.

Wow. That was one of the most amazing speeches I've ever heard. She made so many, fantastic, relevant, timely, wise, well-worded statements. I was emotional throughout. :) And when she sent the message to the lgbt's around the world to tell them to have hope it was lovely. sigh.
Makes an Obama re-election that much more important.
