Show off your fleet pride in game.

I've noticed folks from lots of the other big fleets in the game doing this, so I thought it would be a fun thing to do with Stonewall Fleet.

What I've noticed is that people are putting their fleet initials at the end of their ship names, so when you see them fly past, you can recognize them as a member of whatever fleet they're in.

So I changed the names of all my ships to end in "-SWF-".

I encourage all of you to do the same, and show off our fleet pride in game.

I think it'd be a better idea to hassle Cyptic until they put [Stonewall Fleet] under our names in sector space.

I'd find it quite annoying if my officers start saying "We have to get back to the Imperial Maxi -SWF-".

Why there isn't already a way to display our fleet name is a mystery to me.

Agreed, I'd rather fleet names would display under the ship name, rather than adding a suffix to the ship's name that will then show up in every dialogue box.

However, if a lot of people were doing it, I'd happily join in.

Do we have a fleet logo yet?

Didn't those go live with season 2?

I agree with this. Plus if Cryptic does make such an adjustment, then everyone would be spending merit points to readjust their name and while that is fine for those who have oodles of merit points, it isn't for new members who are still working on collecting them.

trust me, by the time cryptic allows this (if they ever do) we'll all have plenty of merit points.

The worry is people feeling obligated and spending points now that they barely have, not how many we'll have in half a year.

IF people want to do it, they can, but it is by no means something that people are obligated to do.

I'd just like to point out that 'Stonewall' is one word.

So if one was going to do this it should be -SF-.

Honestly, I've always thought the whole -Acronym- thing looked really hokey. More power to the people who opt to do this, but I won't be one of them. It just seems rather out of canon as well, as the names of ships in the series never carried any mention of their fleet assignments.

yea cryptic should allow us to put our fleet name as a second title or something like that

I agree but then we would have:

Title
Name
Ship name
Fleet name

It gets a bit long

Could have a possible title be the Fleet name, so

Stonewall Fleet
Char Name

I've been putting www.stonewallfleet.com in my char details.

If I recall, isn't there a setting to display fleet names? Not that it works.
