How do those points/karma things work?
Put simply, you earn points by participating in the site. The more you do, the more points you get. This includes our forums, the network, and the events section. The more points you earn, the more stars you get.

Eventually, I'd like to give you all the ability to spend the points on gifts that you could send to other members and display them on your profile and in the forums, but there currently isn't an option for that, or at least, a free one. We use to have this ability, but it had to be uninstalled as it caused many errors with our forums.
