Re: Doctor Who?...
Aw, I was worried about how the numbering worked. So, what I call Season 6 is the second Matt Smith season. I don't consider the set of specials that ended Tennat's run ("Planet of the Dead", "Waters of Mars", and "The End of Time") to be a separate season, because each were just long episodes.
So basically, I've seen all of the current Doctor Who. And yes, I loved the latest season. It was fantastic. I really liked how this season's finale took a departure from the last few, where it wasn't trying to pull at heartstrings. It was mostly a really funny romp, and I loved that. Matt Smith is at his best when the Doctor is just being goofy and weird.
The Wedding of River Song marked the end of Series 6. The specials don't really count as being a part of any series; they are events that happen between them. To prevent any future confusion (and because I'm pedantic), the word "series" in the UK is what is called a "season" in the US. (In case someone says, "No that happened in a different series.") Where "series" in the US represents the entire library of an individual title.
My favourite Doctor has and always will be Tom Baker, followed by Jon Pertwee Followed by Matt Smith followed by Chris Eccleston (Who, in my opinion, didn't really have enough time to gain the type of following the other actors have.) Tennant is actually one of my two least favourite Doctors, right behind Colin Baker. I actually prefer Davros to the two of them. :p
