I'm liking it so far. The plot holes are a fixture of Doctor Who, as with any long running time travel series, but they do seem to be getting more frequent and obvious as the writers try to make the series more complicated and riddled with cryptic clues. For example the River Song, back to front, storyline is not making much sense, how come she didn't realise that the when she met the doctor for his first time, in the library, that she was about to die? I also don't like that they seem to have ruled out future Doctors and removed some of the "anything can happen" feeling by showing us how the Doctor dies. I hope it's all a trick.
I much prefer the earlier series where the clues and series story arc was subtle enough for you not to notice until the big reveal at the end. I loved the "how did I miss that" feeling. This time round there is so much emphasis on the big mystery, and they put a neon sign round all the clues to whip the fanbase into a frenzy of speculation, that I'm getting a bit annoyed by it. It the big reveal can only be a let down now, lol.
