Tales from the Lower Decks (Halloween Story!)

As Emil approached engineering, he heard an odd sound: a human child's laughter. He paused as he passed a Jeffries tube, hearing noises in the distance, but decided that he would be of most use in engineering. Rounding the corridor leading to the engineering bay, he saw an indistinct but large dark grinning shape that resolved itself into the figure of a small girl. "You're neither my mother nor that child," he said as he fired an energy bolt at the entity. It dissolved into a black cloud and flew at an amazing speed down the hall.

Behind where it had been was an unconscious Caitian, a pair of active tricorders lying next to her. Checking M'Freya (@NikoLunus)'s vitals, Emil thought "she's probably just been stunned but I'm an engineer, not a doctor." Looking over the readouts on her tricorders, he realized that she had been following the creature's trail when it attacked her. A quick look at her scans indicated Undine lifesigns in engineering. Just then, the ship's computer sounded a new alarm: WARNING! WARP CORE BREACH IN PROGRESS! SAFETY LOCKDOWN SEQUENCE INITIATED! AUTOMATIC EJECTION PROTOCOLS ENGAGED, EVACUATE MAIN ENGINEERING!

Viethai was at the door of the bridge on the deck 2, but the door was not opened. He looked around the corridor to see anyone around and found none. He reached the wall cover at the below next to the door and remove it. His hand stretched to reach the panel to override to open the door. Once the door opened, Viethai walked through the door to reach the bridge on the deck 1. @Kierix was busy around to check on the unconsciousness/injury bridge crews with medical tricorder, and Fleet Admiral @NicholasJohn16 was focus on the console at tactical station. Viethai was on the way to Engineering station. Suddenly, “NO, Viethai!” the firm voice in his head via the telepathy. He stopped in the middle of the way and looked around the bridge once again. He met the eyes locking on him. The eyes were belonged to no one else than @NicholasJohn16. He slightly shocked his head to Viethai. “Who...” Viethai thought to himself and he nodded as he left the bridge...

Dax reaches Deck 12, but is a few corridors away from Environmental Control System when he hears the bulkhead stretching and expanding. As he approaches the doorway to Environmental Controls, he hears the giggling girl echoing throughout the corridors.

"Come Play with Me!!" says the voice. Dax turns his head behind him to see the dark figure with the gleeful smile about a few feet away from him and its coming closer. As it approaches him with it's smile shifting from side to side with each stride it takes. Dax's first initial thought is to run like hell, so he does, he begins to enter Environmental Controls Room, but is stopped by a plasma fire that has enveloped the entire room, he can't do anything about plasma fire, since oxygen itself is feeding it. So he heads out of there and heads towards the nearest jefferies tube.

Giggling the dark figure goes, "No No No. Not that way you don't!" An explosion from the bulkhead near the jefferies tube door, and it throws Dax back. As he lays on his back, he opens one eye partial to attempt to gather what strength he has to get out of there, but he begins to feel cold. He tilts his head to see a piece of metal has plunged into the side of his abdomen. "Well that explains it." And before he knew it, the dark figure was looming over him.

"Hehehehehehehehe. Let's play a game." And Dax passes out.

So...what's the story on this story? We're 4 days past the deadline and I'm not sure anyone would really call it "complete." Now what? LOL
