Pox: I fly a hulk and they are so worth it. If you can get someone to haul for you you can make made money, or mine in mission space (takes some set up but super safe) you just jetcan your ore of your mining ship, fly back with an Iteron or other Industrial ship and pick it up and take it back :D...

Yeah I am sitting here working on papers wishing I were popping rats or stripping some dense veldspar, but it will have to wait til I get this last paper done... atleast my skills are queued up :D

*drools*

I haven't play EVE in awhile, but I feel it calling to me. I wanna go pop so rats and gather loot, but I'm way too busy with work right now to justify the expense of a sub.

I'm jealous.

I went mining (I love farming), and it was good, but you have to invest a lot of time into getting you're weapons and more militaristic stuff up. And mining is real boring at the start. If you go through some of the Military career paths you can branch out into electronic countermeasures, missiles, energy weapons, etc. but like I said, you can technically learn ALL the skills in the game... with enough time!

I suggest trying to learn salvaging as early on as possible... it allows you to turn the ships you destroy into valuable loot!

Sent an invite! If anyone else is interested just drop your email... I will warn you the game is massive!! and it is probably the most open ended MMO content I have ever seen! There is no XP or grinding, instead you set skills to learn (you can queue up 24 hours worht of skills to start).

So there is a bit of time invested to make progress, but you can become anything you wnat, there is no limitation on what skills you can learn other than having the ISK (in game currency) to buy them.

I am of in Asrios, which may or may not be a distance from your starting area. When I first made my way there it took my 20+ jumps to get there and I was floored by how little space I had even explored...

And it's all in on single universe (server)!

EDIT: Jer, they just released Dominion, a new expansion (which for an non-EVErs, they're expansions/content updates are free).

Don't know if anyone else is as bored as me and has an EVE account, but I just reactivated mine so I could float around in space for the next month or so. Let me know if you are playing! Anyone looking to try it out let me know, I can send you a 21-day trial to give it a whirl!

It was a lot of fun, I'd make myself and friends and put us all in. And usually 1 person I couldn't stand (every show needs a villain).

Was always a lil weird when poor lil Sim Jager had to take a dip in the pool.

I am a simmer too.. havent got the new exp tho.. heard it was rather buggy... and I'm waiting on some patches before I spend the cash... Not to mention, I like mods.. a lot.. and I'm waiting for them to be updated.

What are you're thoughts? I wasn't all that impressed with what's been described.. mini-games, and what not...

I heard they finally made basements an actual build type, rather than the "work arounds that have been there since Sims 1... that true?
