We get our own spaceships in game. They called it "Your base of operations to explore the galaxy" so I guess it will be some kind of housing attached to it, don't know about space combat.

Eh?! You basically wouldn't be bothered about having a spaceship, or being able to fly, or having force powers, or a lightsaber, or a laser-gun, or lightening-fast perception and reflexes, or an actual army, you so long as you can have an underpowered grenade?! With that kinda ambition I guess you'll be playing on the Light Side then? :-P

All i know is that i want to be able to do that with a grenade, set it off in my hand and still have a hand.

Admittedly, that's a very impressive video. It looked awesome, though I didn't play it with sound as I'm too busy enjoying listening to Charlie Brooker being sardonic at people.

Still, it's hardly gameplay footage, so it's not the sort of thing that'd get me more interested in the game. It more falls into the category of 'Things that are pretty but that by tomorrow I'll forget I'll have ever seen.' STO's engineering reports get me more excited, to be honest.

Godric was a hottie, for sure, in the books though he was completely different.

Ooom, that can happen alot more, not sure how much they will do with it though. The maryann thing was completely different in the books.

Once we get to Mississippi on the show, it should be totally awesome for those of us looking for boy toys on tv. The king there has a harem or at least he did in the books.

Agreed, out of the relaunch series David Tennant and Catherine Tate were and awesome team; for me Tate was the best companion for the Doctor, because she truly is a best friend. And I loved the silent window chat in the beginning of their season, just hilarious.

And I agree with you Laeren, there is a lot of separation from the past doctors except for the snippets of flashbacks. I have a feeling this is itself a relaunch from the relaunch; there is a definite feel that the new writers are separating themselves from Russell T Davies' work. That's probably their intention, but they don't want to completely pull themselves away from the mythos of Doctor Who.

As for theories... that's a tough one. I wonder if it has anything to do with River Song having murdered an important man?...

The episodes are online, floating somewhere on unofficial channels... just gotta do a little searching for them. ;)

I've never been very interested in Dr Who until I started watching this season. I'm certainly really enjoying Matt Smith's turn as the Doctor, though it is making me wish I'd bothered to watch the Tennant years now!

just a few little bits i picked up in the forum, it looks fugly now because the new Galaxy model base isn't on the test server yet, but i saw the screenies and it looks AMAZING!!! And apparently it's been classified as a dreadnaught instead of a cruiser w/e the hell that means. Also, if anyone knows what BO slots this thing has I would love to know.

Yeah, completely in love with the relaunch, though this season has kinda been somewhat of an anticlimax to Tennant's run. Matt Smith is doing a good job, it's just hard to reconcile him with the other lineup of Doctors (as the 11th), so I think in my mind there's a lot of separation of this season from the past ones, somewhat to the point of me having to shake myself when I look at a Matt Smith episode and think "This would make a great Doctor Who episode....oh wait....".

I have loved Dr Who since the relaunch in 2005. Love the new series, but I have to admit they shot themselves in the foot with last years David Tennant and Cathrine Tate line-up, there was no way to beat that, lol.
