Guys, to go along with what we were saying about international issues and countries where these games originate from, there is another contest going on right now from Square Enix that is very similar. While it is certainly not as "awesome" as the Enterprise Contest, it is JAPAN ONLY, so I thought I would mention it for those of you outside of the US who are upset with Cryptic. This just shows that Cryptic is not the only one!!! :P

@bfelczer: Yay, we're in TNG! This is what I've really been waiting for, as I've only seen (a lot) of random episodes when it was in syndication. It's great seeing them in order, especially these early ones! Picard is a rather different character than what I'm used to. (And I now totally understand why people hate Wesley. He was super annoying in the first episodes!)

@Jared: Just as a heads-up, Brandon is doing in this in order of episode air date, not chronological placement in the Star Trek universe. He started with TOS and will end with Enterprise.

So I'm a bit behind on this, but I've decided to catch up on Trek. I haven't seen most of it in a very long time, and bits of it I haven't seen at all. (Most of Enterprise, last half of last season of Voyager) So I'm going to start with Enterprise and work my way up. Hopefully I can catch up before you get too far!

Bridge Commander!!!? I always thought that game had some of the better TNG traits. That was a really fun attempt to put a person behind a real space battle simulator. A Final Unity was somewhat fun too...another protected mode DOS game. DOSBox would just not work for me when I tried Unity...and I haven't tried Bridge Commander in years. Think I still have it around here someplace.

I did the Memory Alpha Ferengi missions you described. It was so quick...just a bit of running back and forth telling people things. It's ashame that when you "Hail Starfleet" for missions, that you cannot filter them by criteria: like only show missions that offer Diplomatic points. I'm at Vice Admiral 1 but still am only at the second level of Diplomatic achievement. Going back now and doing some daily missions that give 10 Diplomatic points but it takes awhile!
