Roleplay Meeting Minutes

Attending: VeeBee, Kiddkasper, Nthoctave, Zepari, Doogie, and Nick

Event Idea's
PVP style
Mission style
Social style

Captain will lead the event and guild players.

If someone tries to change story too much, they will be asked to report to sick bay or sent to the brig so character is not broken.

Mostly roleplays will be federation. Sometimes we may incorporate Klingons, but not everyone has a Klingon toon.

Some location ideas were Drozana, DS9, Captain's Bridge, or Vulcun/Risa planet.

Events will use the SFRoleplay chat channel.

Events will very days of week and time so that everyone that would like to Roleplay will get a chance.

I would like to be able to rotate leaders of events so people can develop a story they would like to do. So keep in mind.

There has been a Roleplay Group created also. Please join when you get a chance.

Thanks to everyone that came and gave their input.

Last year's resolution was for me to take up smoking (because it makes you look cool), but I could not even try one, let alone enough to get hooked. :(

This year I am going to make a resolution that I can actually attain.

I vow to do 10 hikes in every mountain park in Alberta.

P90X is an intense 90 day workout program. From what I remember, it changes up the exercise routine often so that you don't hit a plateau for long. The results are very good.

Earlier this year there was a big to-do over someone registering the name "City of Heroes 2" for website usage. Not sure if it was a cyber-squatter but for a while there rumors were rampant that a new version of CoH was in the works. But since then, I haven't heard anything.

As much as I love CoX, I have to admit that even with the graphics "upgrade" a few issues back, it's still stale and not very realistic. C'mon - no busses? Or taxis? No children? Very few cars on the road for a city that size? Truth be told, I think "Going Rogue" will be the last major expansion for CoX. If there's something new coming down the pipe, I think it will be for CoH 2 but any announcement to that effect will be if or when Marvel throws its hat into the supers MMO ring.

Marvel tried, it's why Emmert broke away with the Cryptic name. He and Cryptic were going to develop the craptastical Marvel Universe Online. which was just an online multiplayer version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance. When that inevitably fell through, Cryptic decided it could still make a s#!77% superhero MMO for both console and PC and plopped out Champions Online.

Incredibly stagnant.

And they laid off a bunch of their devs.

I don't foresee any significant changes coming for them. It may be that NCsoft may not be allocating them the kind of budget that would allow for that kind of major overhaul. They may just not have the subscriber base for it any more. And the subs have left because of the staleness of the game. And if that's the case, it's because the devs didn't do anything to keep the game from going stale when they actually had the sub base. But now that they don't, they probably don't have the budget to do it now and bring them back.

It's an ouroboros. xD
