Re: List of Cancelled Tv shows

July 11 2013
I remember staying up really late to watch Space above and Beyond. I'm just glad Once upon a Time hasn't been cancelled yet. I don't think i could like without my dose of Prince Charming.

The Steve Grand All American Boy Band Wagon

July 11 2013
So if you haven't heard of Steve Grand and all the attention he is getting then here is his video. Not to mention he is very nice to look at and taking a risk putting himself out there. He has been mentioned by both George Takei and John Barrowman on Facebook and numerous news outlets and my husband and I are on the band wagon hoping he makes it big.

Enjoy the song and the vid.

I fly Vo'Quv but I'm guessing we have different playing styles. I throw everything out there--the ship's fighters, satellite turrets, and Scorpion fighters--to do a good bit of the dirty work for me.

Re: Talk nerdy to me! (in a Klingon dialect, if you will.)

It's been awhile since I flew this, but I used it to farm enough space STFs to buy my KliSci a full ground set:

= LEECH KARFI =

Jem'Hadar engine and deflector, Honor Guard shield

Weapons: 4x single polaron cannon, 3x polaron turrets

Consoles:

- Sci: Phase Shift, Plasmonic Leech, Aceton Assimilator, Borg console
- Tac: 3x Polaron
- Eng: 2x your favorite armor

Useful DOFFs:

- Flight Deck Officer
- Deflector Officer
- Gravimetric

= Strategy:

The Leech Kar'fi uses Polaron weapons and Power Siphon drones to incapacitate a single target at a time.

This build can completely shut down a Tactical Cube (except its torpedoes) in ESTF in a few seconds, allowing the rest of the team to safely tear it apart.

= Tactics:

Skills:

- EPtS, TSS and Aux2SIF keep your own hull and shields up, Hazard Emitters keeps the plasma away
- Hazard Emitters, Aux2SIF and Transfer Shield Strength can heal yourself or an ally
- Chain Tac Team 1 for energy damage bonus and shield balancing
- Chain Cannon Rapid Fire 1+2 to increase damage output of ALL cannons and turrets
- Gravwell 1+3 means you can drop a Gravwell every 40 seconds

+1 Consoles:

- Phase Shift can either be used defensively as a panic button, or offensively to close on a target without taking fire. This comes with the Kar’fi, not a separate purchase.
- Plasmonic Leech console is a bonus power drain for this build that keeps your own power levels high. Energy Siphon skill could be substituted for this.
- Aceton Assimilator is also a bonus power drain for this build. It adds to the target-spam of your pets to make you harder to target and has the bonus of hitting back at anything that shoots it.

Launch bays:

- Load siphon drones for maximum power drain
- Load shield drones to heal yourself or an ally
- Load Skul fighters for more DPS
- Mix and match any of the above
- Avoid Frigates due to their annoying Tricobalt mines

Re: X needs an Invite

Hi Nightbound, I've sent you a PM as well as posted a reply to your intro post. I just need a bit of information and I will make sure I am online when you usually are so I can send you an invite. You've already given me most of the information in this post so all I need is a time frame to know when I need to be in game. See you soon! :)

I felt that way at first, too. Then I started levelling another toon on the opposite faction, a Soldier instead of a Sith, and the gameplay just felt the same. Yes his story was different, but the rest of it was so similar to what I had just done. So I tried a few other classes and the feeling just didn't go away for my friend and I. There are some people who never experience that, and perhaps you're one of them, but I wouldn't say that the game is better than STO; just different, but in all of the same ways.

But I mostly play games for the story, so I imagine this won't bother me as much. :)

I felt the same way. Even the stories within the same class just all felt the same. And the space combat in TOR is just completely superficial. After haven't having touched the game in probably 9 months, I finally dropped the sub on it.

I think we'll have to experiment with this one. The next couple of Saturdays, we can try running the missions at a later time. 9PM EST or 11PM EST most likely.

I am so glad you are enjoying the game, SiranNataan. I know the F2P business model is a nightmare (although EA claims it has worked very well for them) but I believe that is intentional as they would like you to subscribe so they make F2P as horrible as possible with idiotic restrictions.

Any game where you can create more than one character is going to be repetitive for the characters that follow the first one because that's the only way they can have enough for anyone to do at any particular time. It also makes it easier to complete some of the more difficult missions because you know ahead of time what's going to happen and can be ready for it. In SWTOR you have several choices in responses to make so unless you pick the same answer for all your toons, you can try out many different angles for each mission. But as was stated, spacebar is there to speed your way through the answering process but I like listening to how each toon responds so don't often use the spacebar. :)

They are adding new operations as well as harder versions of the already existing operations so there is a lot of endgame to progress through. You have to be at level cap to participate in these operations though so there is an incentive to level your toons if you want to participate. We are working on forming a group that will be able to start doing these operations but it will take awhile to get everyone ready. It's fun working on that though, especially on double xp weekends, I have been able to gain anywhere from 3-5 levels a day when I am able to play on the weekend. Slower going during the week though and it's sure hard to go back to regular xp on Monday. :(

The levelling experience is the best in any MMO bar none. When you level up multiple toons though it does get repetative but that is why spacebar is there :D

Unfortunately SWTOR kinda fell over a bit on its endgame though from what i have seen it has done alot to fix that with more raids and the expansion pack etc. So alas the only real drawback to the game is the god awful F2P model otherwise it would be a stunningly brilliant MMO all round.

**maniacal laughter** Boredom leads to Experimentation. Experimentation leads to Sadness. Sadness leads to Understanding. Understanding leads to Happiness. Happiness leads SWTOR.

How do I count the ways? Animation and art? Phenomenal. Stories? Fantastic--and no railroading, you can pick up several missions in a short stretch and fulfill them in whatever order you want. The choices you make in dialogue--and your toon *talks*!--have a long-term affect on your character's path. My two free toons are a Jedi knight and a smuggler, and I feel like I'm playing two entirely different games, whereas the basic actions of classes in STO all more or less feel the same.

The limitations of a free account are bizarre and annoying. But given that the only reasons I've been paying for STO are continued access to the fifteen toons I've created (yet after three years I only have five at level 50 because I don't like the end-game content and so put off leveling characters) and the equivalent of a $5-a-month stipend in game currency that I and a great number of players haven't received in four months because of inaction on the business end of things, I am seriously considering switching my payment over to SW:TOR. I'd actually be getting something for my money.

I still log in every couple of days to queue profession projects and pray to the gods.

But honestly I'm waiting for Module one which will add STO style reputation grinds and some solo instances and such goodness.

I'm still stranded away from the guild as well :( Really hope they merge the servers soon.
