I forgot to mention of course that instead of CSV you'll need TS or HYT.

Also for the adapted MACO you only need two items...normally the engines and defelctor.

All those rapid reload transphasics. Ima be doing missions for awhile. :P Anyway, thanks for the build, again. I've got sometime until my adapted MACO set. Still 40k points away. Now the only problem is those pesky klingons decloaking and firing a barrage of cannons at my shields. I have happend to see quite a few people using Vesta torpedo builds in Elite STFs. One phaser in the front and one in the back, the rest are transphasics.

And david is right its a horrible build to fight against in pvp simply because so few people carry that much hull healing they tend to focus more on shields.

Hello again. Sorry aobut the delay.

The aim of a sci torp build is to bleed a person's hull whilst their shields are still up.

For the torpedo build, the Bridge officer powers you have are already similar to what would work synergistically as both TBR and GW do significant damage to the hull. If you are duelling with an energy weapon using opponent than FBP3 is a great option, however in group team battles as it is a "reactive" skill....you do lose out on an opportunity cost.
The main changes to use a torp build are:
1. Three projectile officers (to reduce cool down time) - but big opportunity cost
2. Equipment - adapted maco deflector (to boost torp damage), rule 69 console
3. Torps as weapons - I would suggest 2x rapid fire transphasic torps and the breen cluster torp at the front. For the rear I would use the 360 antiproton beam array, another breen cluster torp and another rapid fire torp.
4. Transphasic boosting damage consoles

When our fleet spire is upgraded, we will have access to the tactical consoles that boost all torp damage but also crit severity or crit hit chance. I'll be swapping to them. It will then allow you to use the gravimetric torp in the front. It's a heavy hitter and it's innate change to make gravity well thingies makes it useful.

The advantages of a trop build is its sheer fun! Nothing better than squishing an escort with its shields still fully operational. However torp builds lose out on damage overall. Against other humans it's good as player controlled ships have far less hull. However against PVE opponents you may find that you're sitting there for a while. Personally I've found the build very effective. With your crit chance boosted as high as you can you find that you're doing 5 k or damage everytime a torp hits, direct to the hull. However if you're evil like @Gr_vity you can equip simply lots of hull heals and whether the storm.

But lately even STO has felt like a forced social thing. Winter is the worst time for me too. All the grey and gloom makes me want to sleep all the time. Enough of my babbling. Off to kill some Voth or Borg.

Love that show! I'm a bit of an I as well also due to being bullied as a kid because I was always short for my age and had a high-pitched voice, nicknames included Keebler Elf and Mickey Mouse. Solitude has never troubled me and often times I prefer it, but I guess at some point I felt I shouldn't be so introverted and made a concerted effort to alter my social propensities.

Now I'm an odd mixture (if that's possible) because I do like large parties, they're so intimate, small parties there isn't any privacy ;) (points if you get the reference.) My BF is waaay more I than myself and I've become the one that makes us go out to events and hang out with friends for the most part.

I find that the more introverted a person is, the more extroverted I become to sort of fill-in the gap I guess. If I find myself with someone even more extroverted than me, I tend to be a bit more quiet and reserved until I get to know the person better, or get a few drinks in me, whichever comes first. :P

I find I click better with Is as well however I'm attracted to Es... I understand Is better so click better with them. I also find that Es tend to mis-understand and mis-interpret my quietness and my need to be left alone at times. 3 of my x-partners were Es and this caused a lot of confusion, upset and mus-understandings. I tend to find I deal with crowds and socialising better during the summer than winter (probably because my bi-polar has a seasonal pattern). I'm definitely feeling better about being an I the more I realise I'm not so alone in being this way...

What I also really like is that I get spreads of both Omega plasma torps or grav torps. I also fire a constant line of torps at the target. So its not quite a torp boat. I am tempted to put the rom console set on as well to see how that works lol

I must keep missing you too, Elquin. Do you know the next time that you'll be on? I should be on a good bit through Thursday. I sent you some messages in-game and friended you on those characters so I'll know if you're on. I'll keep checking over there.
